BIOGRAPHY
Milya Corbeil Gauvreau began her career at a very young age, landing her first screen role in 2010 in Francis Leclerc's short film Alexis le Trotteur. Her talent was recognized early on, earning her the Best Actress Award at the Molise Cinema Film Festival (Italy) in 2014 for her performance in the short film La Coupe, directed by Geneviève Dulude-DeCelles and Fanny Drew.
On the big screen, she has distinguished herself in acclaimed productions such as The Demons (Les Démons) by Philippe Lesage, Nelly by Anne Émond, and Sam by Yan England. In 2017, her leading role in Luc Picard's Cross My Heart (Les Rois Mongols) launched her onto the international stage and earned her four major distinctions, including the Valois Award for Best Actress at the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival, as well as acting awards at the Zlín International Film Festival in the Czech Republic and the SIFFCY Festival in New Delhi.
On television, Milya has delivered memorable performances in several acclaimed series, including L'Échappée, Faits divers, Toute la vie, The Complicated Life of Léa Olivier (La vie compliquée de Léa Olivier), Red Bracelets (Les Bracelets rouges), Bon matin Chuck, Detective Surprenant, Contre-offre, and L'Homme qui aimait trop. Her work has earned her multiple Gémeaux Award nominations, notably for L'Échappée, Avec moi, and Les Bracelets rouges.
More recently, she starred as Rafaëlle in the youth series LIAM, a performance that earned her a 38th Gémeaux Award nomination for Best Female Performance in a Youth Series or Program.
She also leads Fanny, an adaptation of Stéphanie Lapointe's beloved literary universe, developed into both a television series directed by Miryam Bouchard and a feature film directed by Yan England. For her portrayal of the title character, she received a 2026 Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Lead Performer, Drama Series.
Based between Montreal and Paris, Milya is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Film Directing at EICAR Paris. Alongside her acting career, she is developing her voice as an screenwriter and director. She has directed the music videos EXKY for the band Blockbuster and Barely Alive for Maeva Ruel, while also writing and developing her own original projects. At the same time, she continues to work extensively as an actress in both Quebec and international productions, including the French series Major and Il ne se passe jamais rien ici.
