BIOGRAPHY
Émilie Tremblay is an actress and singer. She studied drama at Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe and classical singing at Université Laval. Émilie holds a Master's degree in performance (classical singing) and a second Master's degree in instrumental didactics. Émilie's theater credits include several Théâtre du Bic productions (La nuit des tisons gros comme des grêlons, Thérèse et Pierrette à l'école des Saints-Anges). With the Orchestre Symphonique de l'Estuaire, Émilie toured Quebec with Igor Stravinsky's musical L'Histoire du soldat.
In opera, Émilie sang the role of Léaena in Offenbach's La Belle Hélène, Kate McGowan in the musical drama Titanic, and appeared on stage in Ravel's L'Enfant et les Sortilèges, (in the title role of L'Enfant) and in the opera Strauss's opera La Chauve-Souris, (in the role of Orlofsky). She perfected her vocal skills at the Académie du Domaine Forget with internationally-renowned masters, and for several years participated in various workshops and shows, including those produced by Tempêtes et Passions.
Also, in June 2018, the mezzo-soprano won first place at the Canadian Music Competition. She can be heard singing on the album Funambule (the musical), in the documentary Gilbert Boulanger, aviateur de guerre (theme song), and in the recording of Cinq méditations sur la beauté (Jardins de Métis, Théâtre les gens d'en Bas). Émilie juggles singing and acting,and uses her voice in a variety of forms. She has also trained in dubbing and voice over (Syllable Studio), she has lent her voice to the documentary series Océania and Canada en Amour, as well as in Campus PD.
