BIOGRAPHY
Catherine Souffront is a multidisciplinary artist, bilingual actress, screenwriter, and singer. Versatile and driven, she thrives on challenges. On July 31, 2018, after working as a Crown prosecutor at the Montreal DPCP, she made what some would call a risky decision: leaving everything behind to pursue what she sensed was her true calling—artistic expression.
Since then, Catherine has taken on numerous roles on the small screen. She has appeared regularly as Mylène in L’Oeil du cyclone, nurse Jocelyne in Les Bracelets Rouges, the mermaid Coralie in L’Ile Kilucru, Lana the singer in Dérive, as well as in Lakay Nou, where she stars opposite Frédéric Pierre.
On the big screen, Catherine is part of the cast of the hit 23 décembre as well as Le Cyclone de Noël. She can also be seen in Allen Sunshine, Harley Chamandy’s first feature film.
In recent years, Quebec audiences have also benefited from Catherine’s writing, notably through her involvement in the television series Le Pacte and L’Oeil du cyclone, and more recently as a co-writer on Lakay Nou.
Once again, Catherine is nominated for a 2025 Gémeaux Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role: Comedy or Comedy-Drama for Lakay Nou.
At the end of 2025, she will take the stage at Théâtre du Rideau Vert in the hit production Revue et Corrigée 2025.
Eager for knowledge and for both personal and spiritual growth, Catherine is also passionate about singing. She has released two singles, “Pick Me Up” and “Wish You Well”.
