BIOGRAPHY
Catherine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Literary Arts from Université Laval and a diploma in Acting from the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Québec. She has been actively involved in Québec’s theatrical and literary scene for nine years, working as an actress, director, and playwright in over twenty productions.
She has appeared on stage at La Roche à Veillon in Bébé à bord by Claude Montminy, directed by Carol Cassistat (2023); at Le Périscope in Bob by Miguel Fontaine, directed by Patrick Ouellet (Théâtre pour pas être tout seul, 2024); in Avant l’heure mauve by Maude Bégin-Robitaille, directed by Marie-Hélène Lalande (À pleins poumons, 2023); in D.écimées by Marie-Eve Chabot Lortie (Les Gorgones, 2023); as well as at Premier Acte in Aime-moi parce que rien n’arrive by Gabrielle Ferron (L’Apex, 2022), À l’affiche by Annie Baker, directed by Angélique Patterson (Collectif, 2020), and Amour amour by Gabriel Cloutier-Tremblay (Kill ta peur, 2019).
Her first two original works, Renversé à l’ananas and Baby Shower, which she both wrote and directed, were presented at Premier Acte in 2021 and 2024, respectively. She was named “Associate Artist” at Théâtre de la Ville in Longueuil for the 2022–2023 season and completed a residency there to begin adapting her poetry collection Transformer ses ruines en ombre à paupières, published by Hamac, for the stage. The play, titled The Quarterlife Crisis. Transformer ses ruines en ombre à paupières, will run from February 11 to March 1, 2025, at Théâtre Périscope.
Catherine is also active in Québec’s literary community, notably with Québec en toutes lettres and the Maison de la littérature. She contributed to the theatrical project Adieu Sherlock! and co-directed Et si…, a bus performance featuring various authors invited to rewrite the history of Québec. In 2021, her poetic fragment was showcased on the ferry between Québec City and Lévis following a call by the City of Québec.
Alongside her stage career, Catherine worked as a columnist and co-host at MAtv for three years. In addition to participating in several Carte blanche events and on-camera acting workshops in recent years, she has appeared in multiple short films. She has also been seen on television in various commercials, in STAT, and alongside P-A Méthot in the show Dans ma tête.
